I wonder what happened to orange milk

The 1% stuff.

I used to buy it when I felt I should be on a diet but skimmed was a step too far.

Anyone know?

I prefer the taste of 1% milk as I don't like a creamy taste I asked the same in Sainsbury's. They stopped stocking it due to lack of demand
I discovered the Arla b.o.b milk is also 1%milk and easier to find, although more expensive Asda and Iceland definitely stock this as I bought some today
Hope this helps

Thanks. That explains why I couldn't find it again in Sainsbury's. Shame

I think of 1% as red milk. Maybe it changed colour?

BlackCatsRule88 · 23/09/2020 22:36

Not going to lie, I clicked on this thinking that as a child you’d seen the bottles of orange juice alongside the bottles of white milk delivered by milk men and thought it was some kind of flavoured milk... 😂

redgin · 23/09/2020 22:38

Blackcati don't think orange juice had been invented when I was a child 😂👵🏼

Isn't red milk skimmed?

We get BOB milk. Normally has better use by dates than normal milk

dementedpixie · 23/09/2020 22:41

Although BOB milk is skimmed milk too

dementedpixie · 23/09/2020 22:41

I thought 1% milk had purple lids

Toddlerteaplease · 23/09/2020 22:42

I was wondering the same thing. I've been getting the BoB stuff instead.

redgin · 23/09/2020 22:43

Just had to google Bob... 🤦🏻‍♀️

Some brands are purple, but Sainsbury's was orange.

thetrinityisshite · 23/09/2020 22:44

It's in Aldi. Smile

Papyrus · 23/09/2020 22:47

I get 1% milk delivered by the milkman

TartanDMs · 23/09/2020 22:48

I liked the purple/orange milk. I get blue now as I don't like green.

redgin · 23/09/2020 22:52

I don't like green either. I might go red for a while.

Aldi sell it - OH came back with it one day during lockdown as all the others were out of stock. I didn’t even know orange milk existed until then 🤣

Fatted · 23/09/2020 23:04

I was going to say its purple milk in other supermarkets.

I know with covid panic buying causing stock issues, Asda did say they weren't going to bother with wide ranges to make sure they could keep up with demand. They haven't had my favourite sausages for months. Angry

Ginkypig · 23/09/2020 23:32

I'm very annoyed as this discussion, I used to buy bob milk and then Tesco stopped selling it after covid affected things and they still haven't got it in so I'm currently using green milk but not really liking it and normal red milk is too watery Sad

In fact this whole thread is very triggering!
I might have to lie down

dementedpixie · 23/09/2020 23:34

I get bob milk from asda or morrisons
