I would ask my vegan friends but I don't want to come across as goady (I appreciate you may also think I'm being goady but I'm really not). This is a genuine question, but I realise vegan isn't can be a sensitive subject and I don't want to offend anyone.
How is it possible to eat mass produced vegetables and still be vegan? Aren't the majority of vegetables grown using blood meal and bone meal as fertiliser? Or is that not the case anymore?
Do vegetables not grown this way come with a vegan friendly sticker so you know they're animal fertiliser free? Or does it only matter that they don't contain animal products to be considered vegan?
I just can't see how you'd know what fertilisers were used unless you grow your own veg yourself. Or does the use of animal fertiliser not count?
