Hermes Email Scam??

I've just received a very genuine looking email from Hermes to say my Health Products order has been received and will be delivered tomorrow. I haven't ordered anything from anywhere to be delivered. I haven't clicked on any tracking links in the email either.

Reckon is a scam or not?

Can you see what actual email address it’s from?

Turn your WiFi off on your phone/tablet/computer and click on the link IF you’re sure it’s not going to trigger an install of software, that way you’ll see where the tracking link was trying to go to (but fails because the WiFi is off)

Though, I’d just delete the email , you didn’t order anything, and even if you did, it’s coming tomorrow!

Scam. I got one for a "John Lewis order" iirc. It was somewhere I'd never ordered from anyway. Just delete it.

I normally hit reply and look at the return email address. It's a good indication on whether it's genuine or not. I had a spoof Paypal email once and the return email address contained 'youmadboys'

My bad. Yes it does have the myhermes in the email address

If you scroll down on email it should have a tracking number, copy and paste and go to Hermes tracking by Google to see what it comes up with?

What would the scam be?
I guess you'll find out whether it was real or not if a parcel turns up in the next couple of days.

It's my Health Products parcel apparently. I have literally no idea what it is!!

No there's no tracking number 🤔

Pressed send too soon there is a barcode number though.

There is a scan going round with Hermes atm where they ask you to put your address in. I wouldn't do anything or click on anything

It has my address on it when I click the track my parcel link.
OH has said it's ok to click the links because I'm on iPhone but now I'm panicking!

Hermes emails don't contain the tracking number, only a link. If the link is genuine it will take you to www.myhermes.co.uk/track#/parcel/ (tracking number).

It sounds genuine to me if it has the email address and knows your address (and isn't asking you to put anything else in!)

Are you sure you haven't ordered anything? Coronavirus test?!

No. I've not ordered a coronavirus test. I'm baffled. You watch it's going to be something really boring now!

Ok so it's being delivered this afternoon and has the pic of my local courier on it so it's not a scam!
