How has 2020 changed your longer term goals?

I know that all of us have had our short term goals and plans altered to some degree by the pandemic but I wondered if it has altered things longer term for you? If you have reassessed things in your life and made changes and alternative plans as a result?

For me I have taken some time to retrain this year, learn some new skills via online learning. I also think we need a larger home as DH will likely continue working from home more often in future and needs his own office. A gym space would be good as well and local access to a park and areas to walk.

I'm saving for a bigger holiday in a couple of years rather than take cheaper ones as had all the money back from this years one which made a good base. Saving on travel to work so good opportunity to save more.

Yeah that’s a good one was thinking similar to have a big overseas holiday every 2nd or 3rd year in future rather than lots of cheaper ones. Would holiday in the UK more often.

It's prompted us to finally move house into somewhere nicer (and hopefully quieter).

Prompted me to look at my health and seriously ask myself what was I doing with my life. Was so very overweight and blaming everything but myself, done a lot of thinking and changing of habits and am almost five stone into my ten stone weight loss target.

Bonus is that my mental health improved, my physical health is better and I'm now trying to sort out the mess my life was that I was ignoring due to depression and pain.
