Switch from Sky TV and broadband to BT?

Currently have sky tv and broadband. The WiFi is so rubbish I can’t actually send emails or refresh my inbox. I spoke to sky who talked me through troubleshooting everything and nothing worked. They’ve basically told me “not our problem”.
Ive been recommended BT fibre by all our neighbours but I’m keen to switch our tv package from sky too. Is sky TV any good? What channels can’t you get on BT? We have pretty much all the channels with sky.
Thoughts would be hugely appreciated
