Anyone else think 2020 was ‘going to be their year’?

Me! 50th birthday celebrations, was due to retire and a big holiday was planned for summer.

Never had any high expectations but I always try to start a new year with optimism and hope.

This year can do one. Its been the worst year I've ever, ever, ever had. That is taking Covid aside

Yeah, me too. Several difficult years in a row, & the end of last year was looking up. Dared to dream & have plans, never quite got round to making them.

It sucks, doesn't it?

People who say, "Oh it's only a year, you can do it another time." It's not that simple.

Yep, 2019 was a write off for me, severely depressed, got pregnant with severe sickness and SPD, had baby in march 2020. Who'd have thought the crapness would just carry on after that. 2020 was supposed to be my year to work through my issues but I'll be going back to work still mentally exhausted.
