Fucking skinny drunk flying spiders

Anyone else having loads of daddy long legs flying around their homes bouncing off the walls and dive bombing you? I hate the fuckers and have to keep my windows shut and I'm soooo hot!

Bloody hate them.
I once had to put my big girl pants on and extract one from DD2's bedroom, which for some unknown reason I thought I'd do with my bare hands.

I caught the fucker, only for it to escape through a tiny gap in my fingers and fly back into the room leaving two legs behind trapped between my palms . I honestly thought I'd vomit.

Now I wack them with a slipper.

I was at DPs this evening with the back door open. A spindly fucker flew in and LANDED ON HIS FACE

Argh I hate those things too. They seem to come right at me.
I call them Daddy long legs, Dh calls them Mosquito hawks, I think they are really Crane flies.
I run round the house closing all the windows right as it's going dark so I can keep them out

Yeah crane flies are just a world of no. Also big scuttly spids. But the daddy long legs spiders are my friends and i even tolerated one that had decided to hang out right by my headboard a little while ago. They protect you from scuttlers. I’ve seen them in action, it’s amazing (pretty gross when they just discard the desiccated corpse and it falls on your hoodie that is hung on the back of the door and you discover this when putting said hoodie on, mind you)

If the thin ones eat the fat ones (which I thought would do them good uh-huh-huh) are we in Pharaoh's dream?

Crane-flies, ugh! One landed suddenly on my desk once and I BEAT IT TO DEATH.

This thread has taught me something - I had no idea that those spindly spiders were called Daddy-long-legs. To me that definitely means crane-fly (and to the Wildlife Trust too, I see).

Had one float down from above my over bed wardrobes and land on my face. Just scooped it off and let it float back up to where it had come from again. I'm weird though I can quite happily share my bedroom with a spider or two. Had a huge house spider last winter. I found myself being really careful not to step on it when I walked from room to room. Even used to put it inside the airing cupboard so it didn't get cold 🤣

I hate them because they make me hysterical, and then I hate myself.

My spider catcher is great at getting them. I got one last night, threw it out the front door and I flew right back in at my face! Screaming aaaaaahhh you bastard bastard aaaaaaaah loudly with my door open probably isn't impressing my new neighbours. I'm getting goosebumps now thinking about it.

I had a 241 deal at the weekend, a daddy long legs flew into a spider web, when the spider tucked her napkin under her chin and headed over to her snack the daddy long legs panicked and managed to dislodge himself from said web but they flew around with the spider and her web hanging from its feet.

Myself, dog and cat decamped from the room pretty sharpish.

It’s when you’re lying in bed in the dark and there’s one flying about and you can hear it’s skinny legs scratching the walls as it bounces about the place. My cat quite likes to eat them

I hate them more than anything! We've not had any in the house so far this year, which is very unusual. I can't sleep in a room with one and spend half the night wacko g them with a tea towel and have their disgusting amputated legs all over the room. Don't mind spiders generally at all, even the scuttle monster ones. Dreading the next few weeks
