If you pay your rent in advance are you still eligible for the housing element?

I'm looking to move house soon & as I dont have a gaurentor they want a bond and 2 months in advance. This isnt a problem I can lend the money off a family member

Would I still receive my housing element to my Universal Credit for the 2 months that I had already paid in advance? Or will they say as I've already paid it I wouldn't need the help?

If they will still pay the rent whilst I've already paid in advance it would mean I could pay my relative back very easily rather than the year pay plan we set out

Not sure if UC is the same but I used to get the old style housing benefit and they paid in arrears from the date I moved in, I had paid a month in advance as well so I got it back.
