Hi,

Has anyone's DD/DS attended the YLP (investin.org/products/the-young-lawyer-programme) recently?

It's all online and costs £165 for 2 days.

As an actual lawyer I would caution against this unless the money is insignificant to you, it's unnecessary and very similar to the sort of activities and experience you get in university studying law anyway. Everyone is clear on the fact that these are essentially paid experience for wealthier kids and these days there's a lot of focus on diversity of entrants to the profession so it doesn't really add anything positive to an application

Hi my DD did it when in year 8. So about 5 years ago. It was 5 days and face to face. She loved it, met a friend she is still in touch with.

She is currently applying to Uni to read Law. It inspired her so much.
