Positive pregnancy test on IUD

Wondering if anyone can help. I'm hoping the test I've taken is just a false positive.

I had my period from 8th-13th. I've had period like bleeding from 18th. I have no idea when I had sex as I never record this and why would i?

Had the IUD in for 2 years and the problems I've had with it have been bad cramps just before my period is due and some ovulation pain.

I did the test not long ago and the first line (to indicate a positive test) didn't show up until 2-3 minute later.

I'm not sure what to do now? I cant be pregnant on the IUD and I don't want to be either. I can't afford another child.

Should i take another test? I have no symptoms except a mild cold (head and muscle aches).

You say the first line took 2 mins, how many lines were there? I always thought 2 lines meant positive. Do you have a pic?

Get another test to be sure but that is a positive test then ring the dr as I believe been pregnant with an iud can cause issues, sorry you're in this position. If you are pregnant and don't want to be you can then contact Marie stopes for a termination, hope you're ok.

That's not faint OP. I believe you are at risk to be pregnant with an IUD in. Call your GP asap.

I got pregnant with an IUD, sorry to say. What happened with me is that it had fallen out and I didn't realise, can you feel the threads?

The threads are still there. I'm going to take another test. Really concerned because I feel like I've got a uti, forgot to mention in my OP and my urine smells foul.

Wouldn't it be best to call a sexual health clinic instead of my GP?

You need to see a dr if pregnant on the iud and with an infection/some sort of issue

Maybe you've had a very early miscarriage and that is what is causing the faint positive? Do you think it's possible you have an STI? I don't know, you should speak to your GP either way.

I was thinking miscarriage too. There is quite a bit of blood.

I haven't had sex with anyone else so if I have an sti then I caught it from my partner.

Bought a second test this morning an this one comes out as positive as well.

Will contact my GP now.

Agreeing that you need to see a doctor ASAP. I was pregnant with an IUD. It didn't end well with a late mc.

Forgot to say I had lots of heavy bleeds throughout the 16-18 weeks.
