I like my job, but it is a serious job in a very serious organisation. Daydreaming about a more fun job - something creative and different every day...

@Creakyladder @FTMF30 I'm a voiceover artist and I have a recording studio in my flat so I record most of my work here (already used to isolation in my line of work!) but I sometimes go in to Soho too.

I trained as an actress at drama school so I love doing any character based stuff (video games, animations etc) but there's lots of corporate, e-learning etc type stuff too. I really enjoy it! You've probably heard my voice somewhere...

Just thought of another one - makeup artist for the best looking actors and actresses. Might be nice to see the before and after!

Software development is fun and creative. Always doing new things, making new features and implementing new solutions.

It's also a really positive environment, because a lot of others really love their job too, so you're with positive people all the time.

My job is the very opposite of fun.

I was chatting to a professional make up artist a couple of weeks ago - that would be fun to me. She seemed to love her job!

I’m a novelist and screenwriter which a lot of people think of as a dream job, but in reality it has a ton of downsides.

I fantasise about being a park warden in one of the amazing national parks in the US, or being a marine biologist living on a boat travelling around the world, or living by an ocean somewhere like New Zealand. Dreams!!

StarlightLady · 21/09/2020 13:44

@Whatliesbeneath707 - Thank you. I’m available for immediate start and may also need to recruit! Grin

@StarlightLady I feel a few of us could write you an outstanding reference, due to your stella responses on a certain MN board 😅 I think you have the correct approach and qualifications for the job 🤣

My job has been extremely stressful this year due to Covid but us generally fun. I'm an account manager in the travel industry and around 60% of my job is social - from doing presentations, hosting events, overseas conferences, roadshows, awards ceremonies, industry balls and shows. I normally get to overseas conferences 4/5 times a year for a few days but the actual work element is about an hour. The rest is social. Its been shit this year but I'm clinging on waiting for the good times to come back.
