What’s Going On In Your House?

DH is cooking a lamb curry “ shepherds pie” with a rice topping & getting stressed. It smells incredible! DD11 is on the laptop, having had a lovely afternoon with her new friends from Secondary. I’m having a glass or 4 of wine & thinking that I should be cleaning the bathroom & sorting the huge pile of clothes in our bedroom. Hey Ho!!

DH is bathing the girls and I’m about to wash my hair and put on a conditioning treatment before divide and rule for bedtime. Then we need to sort out the kitchen, rescue the washing from the washing line and tumble it and sort out bags and stuff for tomorrow.

DH and my dad have been fitting our new bathroom. It's mostly involved DH pulling a face and muttering "Well that's not going to work."
Tomorrow I am supposed to ring round local electricians to see if any can do the job on a whirlpool bath.
My children and I spent a chunk of the day downstairs whilst the bath was manouvered into our lounge and then slowly up the stairs. It was blocking the landing for some time. I may have shouted "PIVOT!!!" at awkward moments.
We've escaped to my parents house now.

DH is working in his office.
DS is gameing and I hope he has prepared for school (but I doubt it).
DD is watching criminal minds and texting a friend who has newly adopted a rescue cat and kitten.
I need to hang the washing and then I will probably watch sth or go on FutureLearn. I need to get up at 6 tomorrow.

Had a gorgeous day mostly outside. Kids are bathed and school bags and lunches/ uniform sorted. Going to shower once I get them into bed and relax on front of the tv.

Just cut the grass and put the BBQ to bed for winter and now waiting for a pizza to be delivered - yum

We've just done bath time and kids are getting in the jammies for bed. Will do stories and play lullabies until they fall asleep, dp will get baby to sleep. Then I'll go make Dds lunch for school tomorrow and tidy the kitchen, hop in the bath myself and snuggle down with dp for a while before going to bed!

I'm eating a Scottish Raspberry ice lolly having just had my Sainsbury's delivery whilst watching the footy with DH & DS2. DS1 is doing homework whilst watching Netflix, playing on the PS4 and listening to music. He's 16 and 'can't concentrate' otherwise.

I've just done half a million plums whilst watching repeats of Taskmaster and DH has cooked our roast lamb and spuds.

Had a lovely day at the allotment and in the garden at home. All bathed, kids fed and playing on devices then kids will be going up to their bedrooms in a moment then I'll iron a few bits while dh cooks our dinner.

Me, DD and the dog are all laid on my bed watching a movie and DP is downstairs watching man stuff on YouTube.

Had the most wonderful weekend with family and now fresh out the shower ready for a cup of tea and a bit of a read before an early night in fresh bedding. Very full from BBQ but think I could possibly squeeze in some chocolate.

I'm on my own wondering what the point is.

Just back from an afternoon with my parents and sisters for Dad's birthday.

DSD17 is in the study doing something school related.
DH is on the sofa clutching his tea and unwinding from a day with the coven followed by a lot of terrible drivers on the way home.
I'm trying to get dinner into DS1 before bed.
DS is rioting round the living room, pausing occasionally to burst into tears, fling himself dramatically on the floor and come back to me for more dinner. Combination of teeth, tiredness and overexcitment.

DH watching something about life on Venus. DDs in the kitchen on their phones. I’m thinking of going to bed early as I ate more than usual today and feel sleepy now.

Sharing the cheese board. Wishing instead of neither cleaning the house nor doing any work I could have at least done one as a way of procrastinating about the other. Nope. I now have all the shit to do all at once.

Just had a bbq -DH, DD16 and me. Pork kebabs in pitas with salad and humous made by DD16. Now watching Dragon’s Den.

DH made beef stroganoff and cleaned up, then we watched GoldenEye. We’ve been watching 90s movies lately.

I’ve had a day alone, the first since December!

My son spent the night at Grandmas house and is due back at 8pm and I can’t wait for a cuddle.

My boyfriend has been at a friends house and is due back at a similar time. We had date night last night so we were both a bit hungover this morning, so having an empty house apart from the pets has been bliss.

I’ve done absolutely nothing productive, its been great.

Just finished feeding the kids and now waiting for dh to come back so I can make his quesadilla then clean up. Dd1/2 doing homework and dd3 is writing in her new sequinned notebook that arrived from amazon today. She’s self isolating so will probably want to go to be d a bit later. I’m just reading a book and wondering when is too early to go to bed, feeling exhausted today.

We squeezed every bit of sun out today. Mowed the lawn, cut back the lavender and kept the scented part-now in a bowl by my bed and I’m hoping I’ll sleep well because of it. A lovely, quiet weekend after a manic week at work covering sick teachers.

I have umbrella academy paused on Netflix and am currently standing in the kitchen polishing off the WHOLE box of rice From the Chinese Dp ordered when he came home drunk from the pub 😁
