DS1 starting new job. Ideas for gift?

He graduated this year and has managed to find himself a job.

We are extremely pleased, relieved and surprised that it happened during the current crisis.

He's already got smart clothes. He's not the jewellery wearing type.

Would love to get him something really special but need some inspiration.

A mug
A nice pen if he will actually use it rather then it just being there as he just online or prefers cheap biro.
A pen pot (as above)
A briefcase or laptop bag
Nice desk lamp/folders or something else he needs if he will be wfh
If he Wfh and won’t have a separate office a screen so he can separate home and work life

What kind of budget?

New laptop
New shoes if his don't live up to the smart clothes
Winter coat
Umbrella
Bicycle
Lunch bag
Weekend away with his partner if he has one
Meal at really nice restaurant, either with family or with partner ditto

I like the idea of a pen..... Will have a look at some online. He likes the finer things in life but can never afford them so a fancy pen might be a winner!

The bike us a great idea but he'll be getting the tube every day (when he actually goes into the office!) as its too far to cycle.
