DH and I earn good money but we have a major renovation which we have to do and which will take up a huge amount of money (all of our disposable income for the next few years). We could just about do it but I am worrying about money.
I work a professional job and it is full on - 45 to 50 hours a week roughly but Monday to Friday. I've found a Saturday job very near to us which would involve working one night shift over the weekend but would bring in about another £250 - £300 a month net. It is straight forward and not tiring (sorry, being deliberately vague). There may be the potential for overtime but it's unlikely I would take much.
DH keeps telling me not to worry and I know he wouldn't love the idea.
Am I crazy to be considering this? Even just for six months or so. We already shop in bargain shops / have sorted our bills / sorted our finances as much as possible.
