If you quit Facebook- how long did it take you not to miss it?

Going to delete Facebook after watching that social dilemma thing on Netflix. Made me realise I spend soooo much time scrolling through my phone mindlessly, half the stuff isn’t even from my friends but is adverts, or TV clips I get drawn into, and I could spend that time so much more usefully, including paying more attention to my children! Main thing I’ll miss is seeing people’s photos who I don’t see often, other than that I can’t think of any downsides to getting rid of it, I don’t even post on it that often. But I wonder once I’ve deleted it if I’ll feel like there’s this world that I’m not tapped into! Which is stupid because you don’t need to know what everyone’s doing all the time!!

Just wondered if you’ve done this, and did you stick to it or go back after a while? Was it easy enough to do or did you find it hard? Are you glad you did it? Hoping everyone will say they don’t miss it at all... thanks!

I got rid of my Facebook at the start of lockdown. It was annoying me for a while before but the whole pandemic just wound me up even more so I got rid. I don't miss it at all except for the Facebook marketplace. So easy to list and sell second hand stuff. Apart from that - nope never looked back.

I deactivated mine during the pandemic for the same reasons I generally ignore the coronavirus crap on here. Too many people’s opinions etc! I can still activate it back up to get to my photos if I want to but nope I don’t miss it at all, it’s very liberating. I do miss the groups and selling pages though!
