🚨 (Light hearted thread alert)

I HATE prosecco- it’s horrible- it’s tastes like fizzy piss. (No i’ve never tasted urine before but this is how I imagine it would taste)

I also hate crisps. They are the opposite of cake- mmm cake.

Mrs Browns Boys is not funny whatsoever. I tried to watch a few episodes but my eyes started bleeding.

I hate watching people dancing. It’s boring. I do not understand why Strictly is so popular.

Please tell me your unpopular opinions? Grin

"'Non-binary' people who insist on being called 'they' are utterly ridiculous attention seekers. Yes I said it."

Totally agree......and tedious in the extreme

FrenchFancie · 20/09/2020 06:32

That mumsnet is disappointingly transphobic.

remainin · 20/09/2020 06:36

That someone is transphobic for saying that changing sex is biologically impossible.

Badbanana · 20/09/2020 06:50

That ‘transphobic’ is so depressingly overused and has lost any impact it may have once had.

Someone talking about wanting trans people to die/be hurt/have their human rights (which are the same as everyone else’s) violated, such as having access to work or healthcare restricted.

But it’s used now to call out anyone who even slightly disagrees with the new trans religion, which rarely centres those with actual gender dysphoria,

Undomesticgodde55 · 20/09/2020 07:06

@ItchyScratch

Also if someone can tell me what The theme tune is from that BBC radio one use for this segment as it’s bugging me.
It's the tune from a 90's children's program called play days? Or play-bus?
AgnesNaismith · 20/09/2020 07:11

Hamilton is shit

AgnesNaismith · 20/09/2020 07:15

Just a quick comment on the new build haters though.....unfortunately for many they are the ONLY way of getting on the housing ladder, likely lots of people on here live in them (I have previously) and are aware of how they are perceived, the comments hurt and it comes across as very snobby and judgy entitlement.

fuzzymoon · 20/09/2020 07:16

I hate show songs

I hate watching musicals

Phantom of the opera, les mis just dreadful

Nonamesavail · 20/09/2020 07:29

Grey homes
Grey furniture
No clutter....just looks soulless.

Heatherjayne1972 · 20/09/2020 07:34

New builds -,awful never ever buy one brand new mostly shoddily made rubbish

Drag - no different to black face - appallingly offensive
Primary School music recitals - terrible wonky playing while the parents wonder why it’s so rubbish when it’s so expensive

You can’t change sex sorry - you’re one or the other All your doing is dressing up the outside and fooling yourself
You sound pretentious if you want to be addressed as they

Radio shows in the evenings - all terrible

NHSEA · 20/09/2020 07:45

Cyclist action groups. Extreme bullies

LoeliaPonsonby · 20/09/2020 07:46

We indulge people far too much.

twilightermummy · 20/09/2020 07:54

I hate happy people.

I equally hate miserable, bitchy people (in my experience these tend to be Heads of Departments).

The lower middle class (I’m probably one of them) are judgy shites who often don’t realise that they are no better than anybody else.

I am jealous of my sister and in turn, I think that she is jealous of me. I have recently come to realise that this is what has caused decades of us being best friends who have spectacular fall outs.

I feel like I’ve let my children down.

I cannot understand why everybody feels the need to drive. With 3 kids and a full time pressurised job, I managed to get around just fine as a non-driver as well as getting them to clubs and going on holidays. I do realise that this obviously will not work in a lot of circumstances but I still don’t believe it’s necessary for everyone.

I do not believe that you can change sex either and I feel that often this is more of a mental health issues. I watched a programme a decade ago of a very young man having his testicles removed. A month later he was devastated and more depressed than when he first began.

I hate carpets. I hate racism. Lot of hate here but I am a lover really.

FippertyGibbett · 20/09/2020 07:55

That I was not selfish to have food delivered through the lockdown.
Yes, I was capable of going to the supermarket but I’ve had home delivery for many years and paid for the privilege. Why should I give up what I’ve been doing for years just because others haven’t cracked onto it before.

Craddle64 · 20/09/2020 07:55

Owners and renters should live in separate areas.

FippertyGibbett · 20/09/2020 07:56

And yes, drag is offensive.
No, you can’t change sex.
No, I’ve never been even the slightest bit inclined to be bisexual.

Teaandchocolatedigestives · 20/09/2020 07:58

Low carb (baring a genuine medical reason) is just another form of disordered eating and should die a death. To that end, sugar is absolutely fine in moderation and fruit/honey/bread/etc are not evil.

MilkLady02 · 20/09/2020 07:58

Haven’t RTFT but the theme tune is from 80/90s(?) children’s tv show playbus!

CountessFrog · 20/09/2020 08:01

That a lot of trans people (not all) actually have an undiagnosed autistic spectrum condition and that we are being forced to accept their utterly nonsensical world view.

FippertyGibbett · 20/09/2020 08:03

I wish there was a ‘like’ facility on MN.

Teaandchocolatedigestives · 20/09/2020 08:03

I also don't get the obsession with coffee. I have a cup of day at home, but the sheer amount of people who "I NEED a Costa/Starbucks" is stupid. Most people don't even like coffee and drown it with lots of milk and flavoured syrups, and just get one for the SM likes.

Velvian · 20/09/2020 08:03

I'm sitting in my carpeted new build right now. It was the only option for buying a house for us, due to help 2 buy. Luckily, it is extremely well finished with good quality fixtures and lots of storage. You get shit older houses and shit newer houses, it depends on the builder, not the age of the house. However, it is not the lifestyle choice that some people seem to think. There is often very little option in what first time buyers can buy.

A slab of halloumi is not an acceptable meal for a vegetarian, neither is a massive mushroom in a bread roll. They're not even pleasant to eat in small quantities.

People spend too much on cars and struggle with the basics of living.

AgentCooper · 20/09/2020 08:06

Sunday roasts are horrible and depressing

Hamilton is cheesy crap

Working from home sucks

Bing is actually quite watchable

The80sweregreat · 20/09/2020 08:12

My house is quite old and i would love a new build. An older property is much more maintenance.
Les mis was awful.
Most celebrity authors write complete rubbish that only get published because of who they are. The old boys network alive and well.
