Fluconazole tablet - how long to work

I have taken the thrush tablet fluconazole this afternoon. It’s made me feel a bit groggy which I’m hoping passes soon and that I won’t have any other side effects.

How long should it take for it to work?

I normally feel some relief within 48 hours.

Although it works well, it’s not a quick fix. I’ve found it’s around 2 days before I’ve felt that it was really doing the trick.

Thank you, did either rod you suffer from any side effects? The groggy feeling I felt earlier is wearing off now.

No, never had any side effects at all. I’ve taken them a number of times over the years (as pessaries/creams never seem to work for me) and they’ve never made me feel groggy. Perhaps just the misery of how uncomfortable thrush makes you feel is making you feel a bit rough?

It probably is as sat here feeling sorry for myself.
