Self employed business question

Hello, I'm sure there's a designated board for this type of question, but I thought I'd start here. I have a small self employed business as a therapist and also am employed by a company 3 days a week.

I want to build (well, rebuild after covid) my face to face offering in addition to online/telephone work.

We would like to build an extension on to our home so I could have my own therapy room and downstairs loo for clients. Not sure how we'll be funding this yet, probably a loan of some kind, we've only just started the process of thinking about it.
Is this an expense I can claim in my own business taxes? Any thoughts or advice from anyone who has done anything similar would be gratefully received.

(Also would be grateful to be pointed in the direction of a board where experts hang out :) )
