Anyone use this? Just booked a "magic bag" to collect from a local shop and wondering what I might get!

Love it, have got ones from wenzels bakery, amazing value! Last one had a big loaf of bread, 4 sandwiches, and a couple of packs of donuts.

a few times, it's pretty good although not always good for the waistline!! Often a lot of bakery type stuff, more than you might ever eat otherwise.

Got a morrison's magic bag the other day - good value for money but loads of cakes, crisps etc. was hoping for more veg.

reporting back - picked up a bag last night from a local petrol station which also sells small, upmarket chilled food. Paid £4 for my bag and got:

Pack of herb crusted salmon fillets
2 x posh cherry and clotted cream yoghurts
pack of breakfast toasting muffins
pack of garlic bread slices
boxed red velvet cake
individual trifle pot
individual caramel muffin

fish and garlic bread straight in the freezer. Muffins will be eaten at breakfast no doubt. And the sweet stuff won't hang around long either. Very impressed for my first "magic bag".

Great tip, just downloaded the app.

I am registered as a retailer on the app, for £3 customers usually get scones, sausage rolls, pasties, mis-cut or broken cakes/cookies, sometimes sandwiches...they get at least £9 of food for £3, always a bargain!

SockYarn · 19/09/2020 08:35

Just out of interest @lanbro, how much of the £4 per bag or whatever goes to the retailer, and how much to the app people?

Love them. Particularly from bakeries and sushi chains.

Have a look local as well, we have one that collects food that would otherwise be thrown away from all the local supermarkets. So it is always full of fruit and vegetables, bakery and ready meals.
