🙄

Which is which?

I can only assume there's an inbuilt grill.

DH suggests one will 'click through' options like 'grill', 'oven', 'fan' etc, the other will provide a level.

Uni oven

On mine, the one on the right is the temperature and the one on the left is the control knob for oven, grill, etc. Our oven doesn't light up if you turn the temperature knob first and lights up/fan starts when you turn the selector knob first

Also on mine the selection knob clicks round when choosing oven, grill, etc and the temperature knob moves around smoothly

Looking for a light to come on or a fan to start could be the way forward. Is there a label or etched panel with model on so you can google? Any paperwork tucked away? Warden or estates to enquire at? Social media plea to last years occupants if its uni accommodation

afromom · 18/09/2020 20:13

If you know the make and model you might be able to find a user guide on the internet, most alliances now have online versions

Thanks, I've told him to look for that aluminium stamped thing they put on ovens.

Then photograph it for an adult to read...

Surely if you turn one knob and the oven doesn't get hot it means the temp is the other one.
It's not that difficult to work out.

Miljea · 18/09/2020 23:27

No, one dial will be oven temperature; the other dial will be the selector; top oven/whole oven/grill/fan.

You only need to do a whole lamb roast once on 'grill' to discover the nuances, there... 😂

But you be able to see if the grill is on.
