I'm supposed to be on my autumn booze free months, I reset for xmas. 3rd weekend without a drop, 2nd wave news has pissed me off. I was in denial.

Feel like just pouring a rioja or a gin and tonic and getting cosy...

Ughhhhhhh

You'll feel fresh as a daisy tomorrow if you stay sober tonight 🙂

Have some juice or a cuppa instead, it's a long road till winter with potential lockdowns ....

OrangeGinLemonFanta · 18/09/2020 18:57

It won't help. It will just make you more grumpy. save the booze for when we're in lockdown and can't easily go get more

Haha kindergarten, love the name! "Who is your daddy and what does he do?" I know I keep thinking how good my gym sesh will be tomorrow.

And dancemoms it's going to be long isn't it. I hope my hospital job stays on, working is getting me through this xx

A soda and lime in a nice glass with a straw helps me when I'm avoiding alcohol. Makes it feel like a g&t.

Oooh good idea...xx

Booze doesn't make you actually feel good. It just deadens and dulls your senses. Any problems troubling you won't go away if you drink tonight. You'll just add another problem to the pile.

Think about it OP - do you really want the slightly sick, woozy feeling drinking brings? Do you want a night of disturbed sleep and a day of feeling fuzzy and unpleasant tomorrow?
Think of something that you enjoy, like a favourite tv show or painting your nails, get cosy on the sofa with a hot chocolate and enjoy a lovely evening relaxing without the need for a swig of literal poison.

Missflibble I'm going to escape with a book and a herbal tea. I usually love my sleep and hangover free weekends.
