Hi, I have these tiny bumps on my forearm and they itch. Any idea what it might be? We have a number of cats and dogs and live in the countryside, so I’m finding it hard to narrow down if it is a reaction to a plant or something from the fur or an animal or something entirely else and scary

Bathe with gentle, skin-kindly products, rinse well with warm but not hot water and apply oil of evening primrose to dry skin. It works wonders! You could take an antihistamine too.

If it doesn't clear up, consult your GP but it might just go. The weather has been quite 'sweaty' which doesn't help.

Thank you. I use pretty gentle olive oil soap so hopefully no reaction to that. I’ll try oil of evening primrose. I’m just a bit surprised as it is on my forearms and I don’t really sweat anyway (I promise I’m not PA!😃)

Do you think it an allergy? My husband thinks it is a reaction to brushing against some plants. I have been googling (😱) and am now worried it something awfully contagious or worse

Looks like irritation/allergy to me, my legs go like this if i sit on grass lol!

H1978 · 18/09/2020 17:56

Might be hives

Imiss, I wonder if it is irritation to grass. We rescued a cat this week, she had fleas and perhaps mites or something in her fur that has set it off?

H1978, are t hives a bit more raised and bigger bumps?

Whatever it is, it is really quite a discomfort

do you have any antihistamines? try one if you do and see if it makes a difference, if not you should really get a gp appointment

I went to the pharmacy today and they have me a gel for insect bites. I applied it and it seems to have worked!

Thanks everyone who gave their suggestions, much appreciated!
