My best friends is a SAHM.
The Covid Crisis has rendered her family business bankrupt and she needs to get a job.
Please help us with ideas. She has enough to keep her going for 6 months before she will desperately need to work.

All suggestions welcome please. I should say her work experience is limited.

Thanks.

Lots of shops like boots and M&S interview based on questionnaires not working experience

Try there

Do these guys advertise on their websites?

What about classroom assistant. If she went and did a course? Or is that a young persons game?

Care homes etc always need staff in my area.

Or Healthcare assistance / housekeeping etc at a local hospital

My son is applying for a HCA post atm and has done some online courses in safeguarding / infection control etc so he looks more "appealing" .

there are free versions of these online if you look around and they come with CPD points .

dizzycatdance2 · 18/09/2020 12:51

CDP ... Career development point
would also look good for care home , a lot of cross over

there are also courses on child safety, TA etc

virtual college is one that springs to mind

Well what are her current skills etc and qualifications ?? No point in telling her to work in boots if she is highly overqualified or telling her to retrain when she has perfectly useful skills/experience in another area!

We met when we were nursing.
She's a nurse but hasn't been registered for 10 years.

I'm not sure she would go back to nursing though. I had suggested child minding. Do you need qualifications for that?
