It’s another Covid related one

I work in an office with approx 20 people, fairly spaced out, sanitizer etc. Colleague came in Monday coughing her guts up, didn’t have the cough last week. It’s a new cough. She was off Tuesday and Wednesday and back in yesterday, again coughing. No covid test, no runny nose, no nose blowing (I.e. no other typical cold symptoms). People complained she shouldn’t be there so her temperature was done and was fine. Should they still be sent home or is it fine for them to stay in the office?

Home. Only one symptom is needed.

A temperature isn’t necessary. I know of a family who have several members test positive and none of them had a temperature, just a cough.

Sent home of course.

If it was me I’d stay at home but just a ‘new’ cough isn’t enough to be listed as a symptom for testing. The Gov and NHS website state what kind of cough is regarded as a possible symptom.
