Bed time for 12 yr old..?

We usually send DS up at 9pm school night, 10pm fri-sat pm..
Ds says this is too early and all his friends are up much later.
Ds sleeps till 7am so is getting a good min 9.5hrs...
What time do your 12 yr olds go up?

My 12yo finds sleep quite difficult, he’s just somebody who (like his dad) doesn’t need much. He goes up to bed whenever he likes in the evening - but everything is turned off and phone out of his room by 10.30pm. Does that make sense?

Same for my 13yo, who hates it because we ‘treat him like a 10yo’

Mine is usually in bed for 8.30 On school nights. Gets up 7.30 am and he loves sleep!
