Horrific stomach pains, is this normal?

Well not normal, but 'minor'. And not worthy of medical attention. What would you do?

For the last 5/6 weeks I've had awful pain in my middle belly, I can't actually describe the pain. It isn't an ache. It feels very sore! But, it's started to make me want to throw up? Like a wave of sickness overcomes me.

I haven't noticed any diet changes. Nothing wrong with 'needing to go', that's the same. It's just these pains. They are often even worse if I don't eat. If I miss a meal by even an hour or so I get the pain with a vengeance :( It isn't hunger pain! But it's as if the food helps cushion it all.

Would you bother a GP with this or will it be a case of 'get a grip woman'.

Gallbladder? Sounds similar pain to me

It sounds like it could possibly be an ulcer? Do you take a lot of ibuprofen or similar? Not that that's the only reason.

Thank you. I think I will speak to my GP since it doesn't sound too ridiculous now...

Forgot to add that the pain gave me the chills all morning. No idea why because it wasn't the worst it's been. But that coupled with the nausea feeling made me feel very very weird. I was feeling cold and sick. But it was warm outside

Fine now, just in mild discomfort

Sounds like gallbladder to me. Good luck - the pain is absolutely horrendous.
