if you bought something on ebay through bidding but after a month or so didn't need the item anymore, would you put it back up for sale at a set price for what you paid or would you put it up for bidding?

Depends how much it was, and if there's a strong second hand market vs how desperately I wanted to get rid of it.

Personally I'd put it up for bidding but a allow offers at at around the price I paid. You could also set a reserve price. Obviously there's a risk you won't get your full money 'back' but at least with an auction you have a chance of getting rid of it quite fast.

If is was bought as a used item and is still in the same used condition I think it's reasonable to have a set price of what you paid. I usually do auctions for used items though as I just find I sell more (people watch but never buy otherwise).

If it has deteriorated in condition since you had it, of course it should be sold for less.
