Who can analyse an MRI?

I have scan photos and consultant basic notes - if I want to pay an expert to analyse them for me... What am I looking for?

Is it a physio/osteopath/rhematologist (sp?)?

Any advice welcome

I would go back to your GP with your MRI - he/she may be able to send you straight for a surgical opinion.

Lots of disc bulges do resolve with conservative treatment, but yours hasn’t. Really grim especially with toddlers that want carrying. Surgery isn’t always successful (or occasionally makes it worse I’ve seen a few bad cases-unfortunately) so It is better to try exercise/rehab first. But you might be a good surgical candidate if there aren’t any other health issues.

Can’t hurt to go back to the GP. Good luck!

The joint laxity wouldn't necessarily be seen on a scan as it is more of a functional problem than a structural one. (I'm hypermobile too). Hypermobility usually comes under the care of a rheumatologist, but the disc bulge would be orthopaedic.
There are some physios who specialise in hypermobility, which would be worth searching out. Pilates- I found to be really helpful for the chronic pain, as long as the practitioner understands the impacts of hypermobility, and you are working on stability rather than flexibility. Occupational therapy might benefit you as well, from the back pain and hypermobility aspects, in adapting your environment especially heights of furniture, positions you use frequently
