An old friend has just come out of hospital after an operation.

We live too far away for me to visit, so I won't see her until Christmas (depending on the virus), but I would like to send her something to let her know I'm thinking about her.

She doesn't drink and has been struggling with her weight, so the easy options (wine and chocolates) aren't suitable.

Any suggestions?

There's a company that send a book, some teabags and biscuits as a letterbox gift. If you look at letterbox book subscriptions it will come up.

I actually love bloom and wild flowers - they always have discount codes if you google it! Sent a few in lockdown and looked amazing when in a vase!

Books are a nice idea or books and flowers

I don't know what you mean by struggling with her weight but that doesn't mean she wouldn't enjoy chocolates as a treat

Or a healthy food hamper or fruit?
