Quick! Anyone used WOWCHER for a holiday abroad?

Just found a week for two, all inclusive, in a 5* resort in Turkey for less than £800 including flights!

Really want to get away from the DC —and have a proper shag with sound effects for the first time in months— and DH has some time off next month, and it’s our birthdays so really tempted. The resort is legit and has great reviews on Trip Advisor.

I’ve never used WOWCHER before for anything.

Anyone use it and it turn out OK?

I wouldn't use them for a trip abroad, would it even be covered by ABTA? Some things are too good to be true.

PS I paid £2.5k for a similar holiday in August, just for comparison purposes!

Check who the travel agent is on the advert. You can definitely get an all inc holiday in Turkey for that cost this time of year , i went 2 years ago but ended up going b&b for £450 for 2 people including flights in July.

Nooo salty! I don’t want to hear that Sad.

It says it’s protected under ATOL.

I have read some stories where the holiday was ‘not available’ after purchase and a shitty alternative offered, but also some where it was fine. I suppose going off peak gives us a better chance.

Was getting really excited as we certainly can’t afford anything like £2.5k.

If it's ATOL then you have some protection. Does it name the travel agent and the hotel? If so I'd be a bit more reassured.

I might be risk reverse but when I'm traveling abroad it has to be with a trusted name.

Good luck!

Risk averse, even.

A friend booked a two night break. The flights were so ridiculous it was something like arrived at 4am on their first night and had to leave at 1am on their second night. They barely got a day away! It was very cheap though.

I was looking at holidays the other day and found dead cheap holidays to Turkey all inclusive (TUI).

I also found a 4 night break to NYC which wasn't even more expensive in half term!

Bargains to be had.

Did you go for it OP?
