Has anyone had a DD turn 8 (or 9?) recently-ish? I've got lots of little things for DD, but no 'main' present. Her interests are gaming (would rather not go down this route!) and cats! I'm a bit stumped!

My dd was 8 in June. She didnt really want anything other then an ipad, so we ended up getting her one. She also got a perfume making kit, a dream catcher set. Some colouring books, a big set of animal ark books and some hairbands/little bag/jewelry from accesorize.

8th birthday coming up here, we’ve decided to get a tablet which will be a big surprise as we’ve always said no until now. Also a jewellery box and some bits for that. From others a Lego set, books, umbrella, Shopkins and Smiggle bits

Thanks both. She's already got (and spends too much time) a tablet. Hmm.

Does she like Super Mario (as you mentioned gaming)? Theres a new Mario lego range out.

My recently 9yo DD particularly liked a box set of her favourite books, a controller for her Swith, Minecraft t shirt, Fimo, craft stuff.

SylvanianFrenemies · 18/09/2020 19:26

You don't need equipment for just dance, though there is the option of wrist bands.

NotMyWay · 18/09/2020 19:27

Nintendo Switch
Gravitrax

We use a kinnect with it, but you can also use a smart phone.

I think my dds would be just as happy dancing along without the scoring mechanism though.
