Seller protection through paypal?

I’m selling an item and I’m meeting the buyer halfway for collection. It’s a large amount of cash so I’ve suggested a bank transfer when we meet and he’s seen the item.

He said he can’t do bank transfer... which I thought was a bit weird and has made me cautious now! But can do paypal... which has again made me cautious as I know that the seller isn’t protected if there’s no proof of delivery.

But is this the case if he pays via friends and family?

Be careful. I'm sure there's been lots of dodgy dealings this way. I'd film the event to be honest. What is the item? Is it small or big?

He could still open a fraud case with F&F

Thanks Alice... that was the answer I was looking for. It’s a bike

Don't PayPal with collection. If he can’t or won't do a bank transfer, then cash only.

If he doesn't like it then don't sell to him.
