Think I'm about to fail driving test #4. Any tips?

I've been ready for months but feel so anxious. Covid has made tests like gold dust and the anxiety of waiting months for another test is really messing with me.

Any advice? I feel so doomed, and I need to drive for my job.

Ime all they really care about is safe driving. So do all the checks, and make it obvious. If you mess up, eg they say turn right and you miss the turn, just apologise and remain calm and continue to do all the checks. Do nothing that could be interpreted as risky.

I'd recommend beta blockers. Little miracle tablets. However its too late for tomorrow. Hopefully you will pass but if you don't then book your next test immediately. I passed fifth time but I would have kept on going!

I felt the same before my test. I was 38 wks pregnant and my theory cert was due to expire that week so I’d have to wait, resit that and then start all again when DS was born.

So - I get the pressure you’re under!

As PP have said just take a deep breath and really show them you’re a safe and competent driver. Think before answering the questions and just breathe through the roundabouts etc. Good luck, I’m rooting for you.

Some advice I went by when I had my driving test were
• always give way to the right
• Be aware of your surroundings at all times
• talk to the instructor, just have a general chit chat, it will make you appear confident and will make you both feel more relaxed.
I'm sure you know the Highway Code and what to do so just be very aware at all times but just make sure you are relaxed because if you come across unconfident then the instructor will think you're not ready and pick at things to fail you on.
Good luck

Oh yeah and constantly check all your mirrors like always check them and if you think someone will have to slow down for you if you pull out then wait because they can fail you if someone has to slow down for you!

If possible have a lesson with your instructor beforehand and pretend that's your actual test. Did that my second time round and was hoping for small pointers from the instructor before the test but instead I drove absolutely horribly, made every mistake in the book including ones I never usually made anyway, nearly crashed into something and looked like the worst driver ever. But seems it got it out of my system, I passed the actual test afterwards with only one minor! Would definitely recommend having a practice beforehand to let all the nerves out.

If you have hair long enough then tie in flippy high ponytail so that every time you move your head it's very obvious. Makes all your looking in mirrors etc very very obvious, they can't miss that you are doing it.
