Is there anything better than Daktacort for sweat rash?

DH has been out cycling in his Lycras 🤮 and has a nasty sweat rash.

He tried canesten which did nothing so then he tried daktacort, but a week later the rash is still red and driving him mad.

I just wondered whether anyone had any suggestions?

Thanks!

Unless its fungal then those creams won't help. Sudocrem?

Oldraver · 14/09/2020 20:20

Bepanthen pound shop do their own

CalmYoBadSelf · 14/09/2020 20:23

Canesten is antifungal, Daktacort is antifungal with a steroid to reduce inflammation.
Best if possible to prevent the rash rather than try to cure it. A good barrier cream like Bepanthen or Drapolene might help, personally I don't rate Sudocrem although I see it recommended a lot

Sudacream works wonders.

I use canestan with hydrocortisone cream.

I get intertrigo under my breasts often and got prescribed timodine as an alternative to the usual daktacort

Thank you, all.

By the way, get him to switch from shower gel to normal soap bars. Huge difference with sweat rashes. TKMaxx do lovely Italian olive oil bars infused with lemon or orange.
