Have you found your fear factor is worse since you’ve had children/grown up?

I used to love all the big rides at theme parks and fairgrounds

Couldn’t get enough of them!

Since I’ve had children, I’m either terrified when I go on them and praying for it to end, or I can’t muster myself to go on then at all! And these are rides I’ve gone on plenty of time’s as a teenager/young adult.

Anyone else?

I'm sure it varies between individuals but I've found your risk awareness increases as you get older. And I like less excitement!

Yes definitely for me.

I loved theme parks.
I went skiing every year, the harder and more adventurous the run the better.

Now I whittle that we (both dh and I) could get caught in an avalanche and dd would be stuck in a foreign country on her own (obviously she'd be in ski school or creche type thing, however that works- we've never done it) but there wouldn't be anyone she knows to look after her there until family could could fly over get her. But what if they couldn't even figure out her family etc........ I could go on and on.

I definitely wasn't anything like this before dd.

I always found it funny that my mum hated big rides and would drag her in them

Dd is doing the same thing now...she loves big rides (so does ds but he’s not so fussed) and she tries to drag me on them
