Any Secondary School TAs?

Got an interview on Wednesday for a Teaching assistant role in a secondary school.

Coming from working in reception classes I'm wondering what a typical day as a secondary school TA is like as I'm sure it's very very different!

I’m not one, but I have friends who are.

It’s a mixed bunch of different lessons and different kids unless there’s a unit attached to the school.

You do similar to say year 6 help with maths English and science, you may have children who need medical care - diabetics and dyslexia or ASD for example who need support.

So you support the child not the teacher

You should have knowledge of working iPads and medical conditions

Those who’ve moved from infants to high school really enjoy the work.
