Where is my marriage certificate?

I can't find my marriage certificate, I have kept it in the same place for years and years.

We have only applied for two things lately, one is my DC first Passport (adult) and another DC provisional driving licence.

Would I have posted it off for either of those?

No

What you need to do is apply for a copy then you will find the original about 10 minutes later.

It might be with the passport application. In some circumstances they need it.

I tried to read all the identification documents needed for both and could not see my marriage certificate needed for either.

I don't actually remember using it for anything, as it's not in the usual place, I must have but what?

Have you sent it away for a name change to a pension acct or similar ? Had to show it at work and it’s still there ?

RainbowRaine · 13/09/2020 21:07

@mrsbyers no, nothing like that.

Check books that you've read recently. I have a horrible habit of picking up the nearest bit of paper to use as a bookmark.

In that case maybe your h has taken it?
I would just apply for a copy I don't think it costs very much.

Copy will cost approx £11 from the general register Office.
