CrunchyNutNC · 13/09/2020 14:40

I'd settle for IKEA!

badlydrawnbear · 13/09/2020 14:42

Right now, I'd settle for the park at the end of the street (stuck in with DC self-isolating due to positive case in a school bubble)

TSSDNCOP · 13/09/2020 14:44

@badlydrawnbear us too! It's made me stir crazy and we are only 24 hours in.

@CrunchyNutNC don't forget the tea lights

Bar - Anywhere funky in NYC
Pub - Anywhere old in Glasgow
Restaurant - Anywhere that knows how to properly care for and cook Aberdeen Angus steak
Brunch - Anywhere with avocados in Melbourne
Beach - Anywhere quiet and off the tourist track in Greek islands, Amalfi coast, Hawaii or Indonesia

I'm easily pleased Grin

HandsDownRoundTheTown · 13/09/2020 15:08

Bar - local wine bar (no reason why we can’t go this evening actually...)

Pub - Somewhere old school in narrow streets of City of London

Restaurant - le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons (with a night there to follow)

Brunch - My own kitchen well stocked with eggs, avocados and sourdough and my four best girlfriends

Beach - Greek islands (next to villa!)

HelloDaisy · 13/09/2020 15:11

Bar - The Aviary, Perth, Australia
Pub- Denny’s, Mayo, Ireland
Restaurant- Rossini’s
Brunch - anywhere in Perth
Beach - Denmark, Western Australia or any in Mayo.

Oh to be able to go to either Ireland or Western Australia now....

Toilenstripes · 13/09/2020 15:22

Bar - the Coral Bar in London
Pub - my local in Oxfordshire
Restaurant - L’ami Jean in Paris
Brunch - anywhere in Washington DC
Beach - Vero Beach in Florida

sarahC40 · 13/09/2020 15:38

Bar - anywhere; I’m not that discerning, but if we are being specific, there’s a bar on the harbour side in Tavira, Portugal that is about the best;
Pub: my local, but only if there’s an open fire and beef sandwiches available;
Restaurant: The Swan in Lavenham, which has happy memories for me (shrimps on toast with plenty of mace;
Brunch: there’s a diner on Main in Zionsville, Indiana that’d do;
Beach: Brancaster beach in this country; back to Tavira in Portugal for the beach overseas.

MarshaBradyo · 13/09/2020 15:40

I’d wait for Southern Hemisphere summer then go there for lunch where it’s divide free

But I don’t want to do the arduous flight

MarshaBradyo · 13/09/2020 15:41

Covid free

Crystalknobs · 13/09/2020 15:41

@sarahC40 I love The Swan !

FallonsTeaRoom · 13/09/2020 15:45

Bar - the pub in the next village but with the previous landlord
Restaurant - the college teaching restaurant where the food far outclasses anything available in actual restaurants
Place - currently its got to be Whitby, just love it there or Costa Adeje in Tenerife (but no passport, so Whitby it is!)
Brunch - with my craft club friends, lots of tea, cake and laughter.
Beach - I have a lake in my garden with geese, ducks, moorhens etc so I don't need a beach. Smile

Sexnotgender · 13/09/2020 15:50

Bar - the dome, Edinburgh
Pub - just my local when it reopens
Restaurant - The Kitchin, Edinburgh
Brunch - Lovely vegetarian place near me, it’s still shut though🙁
Beach - Boulders Beach, Cape Town

DeliciouslyFemale · 13/09/2020 15:57

It’s a toss up between Home Restaurant or Acton’s, in Belfast.
But that would be after a visit to the hairdressers.
Though a couple of nights in the Slieve Donard with a few spa treatments would go down well. With coffee and fancies in their foyer, so I can people watch, then a stroll along the promenade.

MJMG2015 · 13/09/2020 16:08

Bar - Le longchamp, l'isle sur la sorgue, France
Pub - La Tavern, Meribel, France (In ski season)
Restaurant - Small vegetarian restaurant in Valencia,Spain

Brunch - (Can I wind back time!) little place on the old Auckland Harbour (not the fancy new places) with my Dad for the most amazing Hash Brown. If I can't wind back time then I need a new place that does something incredible for vegetarians!!
Beach - 4WD access only beach in NZ that we used to go camping on.

God I miss my old life! It's actually quite depressing & not down to Covid. Just off to sob in the corner!

As you were...

TSSDNCOP · 13/09/2020 16:14

@MJMG2015 don't worry, we will power up the DeLorean. No reason why we can't go back, forwards or sideways on this thread.

Bar - one in Paris that I don't remember the name of, off the Champs-Elysees. It's probably not even there any more.
Pub - the Fox and Hounds, somewhere in Surrey
Restaurant - by the pool at the Oberoi Grand
Brunch - las Vegas
Beach - Coral Beaches, Skye

Even without coronavirus it's unlikely I'd be going to any of these places any time soon so a more realistic list would be:

Bar - I'm too old to bother
Pub - no thanks I'm binge watching Friends
Restaurant - local Harvester because then the kids will eat something
Brunch - put some stale bread in the toaster
Beach - in 2021 Grin

killerofmen · 13/09/2020 16:20

Vegas baby!

would also accept IKEA as a second choice

maddiemookins16mum · 13/09/2020 16:27

A waterfront Cafe in Cavtat, Croatia. We should be there at this very moment.

tobee · 13/09/2020 16:31

God I'd go anywhere.

Been shielding Dh since March. A few weeks ago I was fantasying about going to Sainsbury's Local! Confused
