10yo DD blackheads on nose!

My 10 yo dd has blackheads on her nose and her face is starting to look quite oily around the nose area. What's the best face wash she can use that isn't too harsh to help with the blackheads and oiliness? Thanks. Not quite ready for spotty kids just yet!

The charcoal strips are good!! My dc use Asda own brand skin care range and the charcoal stuff.

Something gentle - a lot of the ones designed for oily skin are really drying, which creates more problems. Maybe a cleansing cream along with a moisturiser that contains salicylic acid? Clean & Clear do one called Dual Action moisturiser that contains salicylic acid.

The strips are fucking awful leave you with moon craters. I use acids but on a child im not sure... go ask the ordinary website they have web chat advisers.

Take her to see a skin specialist. As someone who suffered with blackheads & acne in childhood I wish someone would have taken me to a specialist early & encouraged me to look after my skin.

I discovered Clinique Blackhead Solutions recently. It’s a tube of exfoliator and the cap has a knobbly end. Apply the exfoliator to your nose and massage with the cap. It really lifts any blackheads, filaments etc or at the very least brings them out enough that they don’t really need squeezed out.
Also how about a clay mask to draw out any excess oil.

Hot cloth cleanser twice a day. Liz Earle is brilliant but a bit pricey so you may be able to find cheaper.
Only use a pillow for two nights, so night 1 side a night 2 side b, then change.
Try to grow out/pin back fringe if she has one

La roche Posay Effaclar duo is what she needs. When my Dd started using it I bought the 3 steps (wash, toner and moisturiser) it really sorted her skin out. It really is very good.

Do not use nose strips, they ruin the skin. See an actual skin specialist, what works for one person might not work for your daughter. Is all about the ingredients. Read the skin care thread on here, it's really good

Pillow changing is key!
