I’ve had recurrent UTIs for a while - had pressure studies done a couple of weeks ago, and nurses gave me the results directly after.
She said my bladder is very large - has a capacity of about 1litre (possibly more) with very little/weak contraction. Even at 850ml in I didn’t feel any urge to pee at all - I wasn’t in any discomfort .
When I do pee there is some squeezing but not enough (?) and I’m not fully emptying at all - I had 750ml retained .
She said it will need to be sent back to consultants/surgeons but said whatever it is, they can’t ignore it .
In the meantime I’m on frequency/volume charts to make sure I’m matching intake and output .
GP surgery rang and said someone will call ASAP to discuss immediate plans but I’m not sure what any of this actually means? The nurse said she couldn’t say .
Google throws up a lot of stuff about strokes, MS and obstructions ... the MS stuff has particularly worried me although I’d surely have other symptoms . There doesn’t seem to be much other info online at all .
I’m early thirties and female for context . Never given birth .
