(Wall) Posters, as a grown up. Totally going to make a handsome guy wall.

So I'm thinking of hanging a bunch of handsome men on one of my bedroom walls (in the poster sense, not the sex dungeon sense... ...cause y'know, we take what we can get xD).

Growing up I had the occasional cute animal, band and film posters. But as an adult I haven't thought to do it much. Mostly probably cause you learn how often the bloody things fall off the walls and shit you up in the middle of the night.

I wonder how common it is for adults to do posters? (And if maybe a watercolour painting of dan stevens abbs would be more age appropriate haha).

I think I'm going to do a handsome fella wall. (Because let's face it, itll be better to wake up to than anyone you could meet on tinder anyway xD)

Anyone else wanna join me?
Or, who would you put in your wall if you made one?

So far I'm thinking Cameron monaghan, Noel Fisher, Dan Stevens, tom felton, Evan Peters, Orlando bloom (as legolas obviously) James mcavoy and does howl from howls moving castle count? xD

Umm, are you single? If you’re not, I’m not sure how onboard your partner will be with this particular weird.

Bunnymumy · 12/09/2020 14:51

I actually just started dating about a month back but it's made me realise theres no way I would want a man in my space rn. If need be I'll screw them at their place if it goes that way xD but sod bringing them home. So I guess that means I can do what I like lol.

I like your style @Bunnymumy
I'm old and bi, so I would go for Alice Cooper, David Bowie and Nick Taylor.
Plus Sue Perkins, Tamsin Greig and Amanda Redman, but I prefer the women with more clothes on as I crave their intellect more than their bodies
I can match you for weirdness any day of the week Grin

Bunnymumy · 12/09/2020 14:54

I also think a cute guy wall might sorta work as an idea board for what I'm looking for in dating come to think of it (Like one of those wish board thingies, I cant remember the name..mood board?) As well as just being nice to look at :)

Ooh good shout with Bowie @puzzlelover :) :) as the goblin king anyway :)

I think it's a fun idea and a bit of eye candy is also nice. If you want to get into the mood board/wish list/law of attraction stuff though, take it seriously and think about (and write down) exactly how you'd like your life to look.
I never did it with too much seriousness but I came across some dreams/goals I'd jotted down about 15 years ago, and most of the things have happened.

TheFormerPorpentinaScamander · 12/09/2020 15:01

I have a David Tennant statue on my bedside dressing table. It's not really any different to that imo.

Holothane · 12/09/2020 15:01

If I was on my own I’d have canvas pictures of peter Capaldi.

Bunnymumy · 12/09/2020 15:03

@Whenwillow, I guess I could write down buzz words I associate with what I'm looking for and kinda stick them with the posters too. Like 'confidence' next to someone with a piercing stare or something. Just spitballing now though lol.

OP posts:
Whenwillow · 12/09/2020 15:41

Why not? You want a partner to have confidence, or you want more confidence? I suppose it's all ok unless you end up deciding you'll settle for nothing less than the goblin King as a partner...
Being surrounded by gorgeous men will keep you horny anyway 😂

Bunnymumy · 12/09/2020 15:43

Haha yeah if nothing else it'll maybe motivate me to keep dating.

Yeah, in a partner. Lol tbf I'm not sure the goblin king is ideal partner material. Get the feeling I'd have to fight him for the straighteners in the morning.

OP posts:
Whenwillow · 12/09/2020 15:46

Yeah, it's best to have a partner who thinks he's punching above his weight, imo. Not one who's hair and figure make you feel inadequate.
I like men who make me laugh! Maybe if I wasn't married I'd put pics of comedians up.

Bunnymumy · 12/09/2020 15:48

Good shout! I am partial to Josh widdecombe right enough.

OP posts:
Bunnymumy · 12/09/2020 15:53

Lol just laughing at the thought of a bunch of shirtless men posters and just one of josh widdecombe in the middle, looking grumpy and confused as to where the feck he is.

Tbf I think I'll be keeping it tasteful though. Clothes on everyone. Barr maybe zac efron, obviously lol.

Grin ha ha sounds brilliant!

TBH to make it a bit more grown up looking I’d maybe go for smaller pics in frames and perhaps a more stylised type of photo rather than the straight up topless Athena man that we all used to have, blu tacked onto the wall Grin

Bunnymumy · 12/09/2020 16:45

Yeah I suppose I could use those command strip things rather than standard blue tack. Might actually be kinder to the wall. Good thing about posters though is they're easy to roll up when moving, rather than a stack of framed stuff. So we'll see. Might mix and match.
