Have a talent for disappearing into the bathroom for lengthy periods of time the very second the thought 'I better get in the shower now' crosses your mind?

I've got to be at work in an hour. 15 minutes ago just as I formulated the thought 'must get my hair washed now to have time to dry it' the door closed behind him and now I've just heard him switch on the shower. He mentioned having a shave earlier and he's quite beardy of late so I can expect him to be another 20 minutes at least Hmm I might add that he's not working today so has all the time in the world.

I know it's not deliberate or malicious and is just an annoying coincidence but it's every bloody time Confused

What other 'completely unreasonable to be annoyed at' annoying things does your DP / DH disrupt your life with?

Can’t you go in and shower if he’s by the sink shaving?

(I would just open the door and tell him u need to get ready for work) DP always decides he needs a poo just before I need to use the bathroom. Next house is definitely having more than 1 toilet - even if it's in the garden! Grin

He shaves in the shower and there isn't room for both of us Grin

Obviously it's not that big a deal or an emergency, it's just typical of him to pick the exact same time as I do, every time (and beat me there!).

"Is anyone needing to use the bathroom before I go in to shower/shave?" Is a perfectly acceptable and logical question that is regularly asked in our house.

DH will always ask, as do I.

You might want to change your family's practices to avoid this stuff.

Apparently neither of you is a mind reader, so you'll have to use words. "I'm just off for a shower" could be followed by "OK, call me when you're out so I can get one" or "I need to be out soon so can I nip in first? I'll be quick". He can't know he's upsetting your plans unless you tell him. Running the hot tap in the kitchen so the shower goes cold is an asshole passive-aggressive move.

If DH wasn't needed anywhere and I was I'd hoik him out and let him know I need it first. I don't think he'd mind much, unless he was already soggy
