Can I register my child at a different gp to me?

We have recently moved house, and have found a local gp we like. I am having ongoing treatment at our previous gp, I don’t want to change gp’s for myself until my current health issue is resolved (waiting lists are really long in some areas whereas with my current gp my appointments/treatments have been incredibly fast).

Does anyone know if it is possible for me to register DC at the new gp without registering myself there too yet?

At the practice where I work, we wouldn't accept a child if neither parent/care giver was registered with us. But I don't know if all practices have the same rule.

At the practice I work at we require at least one person with PR to be registered with the kids.

Thanks for responses - I’ve sent off an enquiry for DC, if they respond that I need to sign up too I’ll have to wait a bit longer Smile
