What's you favourite beige meal?

I usually cook from scratch everyday and have spare meals in the freezer, but today I took a notion to buy convenience food and bought chicken bites, waffles and beans. Oh.my.god....it was amazing! I haven't eaten something like that in years and I can't believe what I have missed. There was something so comforting about the waffles in particular, I was getting throwbacks to the advert I used to hear on TV as a child.

Please hit me up with inspiration for my next one.

Ikea meatballs and hash browns.

Fish finder sandwich, curly fries or waffle fries, maybe baked beans..

Hash browns and cheese in a wrap

When I was pregnant with DC1 the only hot meal I could stomach in the first trimester was skinny fries with chip spice and grated cheese on the top. Definitely giving the spring roll and chips a go.

Potato waffle topped with a burger and an orange cheese slice melted on top x 2, ketchup for dipping. Not quite beige but a staple of my younger years.

Beef and tomato pot noodle with Thai sweet chilli sensations crushed up and put in.

It's so wrong but so right.

Potato rosti sandwich on cheap white bread!

Plain old fish finger sandwich 🤤

Aldi buttermilk fish burger in a wrap with salad and mayo.

Or a big pile of sweetcorn With butter and black pepper.

It's been a long time since I've done this but I do like to roast a small chicken and just eat it with with salt and pepper. That's about as beige as you can get!

I also love a fish finger sarnie.

Sausage, egg and chips. The yolk has to be slightly undercooked so I can dip my chips in it.

A waffle sandwich needs peas to fill the little holes and salad cream on the side.

Sausage, mash and beans with HP sauce. Not beige, still requires a tiny bit of effort.

Bacon super noodles (do they still do those?) with chips and chicken Kiev.

Egg & potato pie. Oven dish with layers of sliced par-boiled potatoes & sliced boiled eggs. Loads of butter, salt & pepper then baked in the oven on hot for half an hour. Sounds awful but it’s amazing!

Fish fingers, mashed potato and spaghetti hoops with grated cheese 😋

Fish and chips. Someone told me today that McCain's fish and chips are nice, I was extolling their french fries.

Over lockdown I came up with the potato waffle sandwich. White bread, butter, potato waffle, bit of ketchup. Dangerously nice

This. Fish fingers in one side of the toaster, potato waffles in the other. Peas in microwave.

Southern fried breaded chicken, chips and tinned sweet corn. Ketchup.
I like to eat this stuff on a Wednesday to break the week up. DD loves it.
