My child Is a nightmare!!

My DS just swallowed some hand sanitizer! I know he's only 5 but surely he should know not to do that! He's been alright for the past hour but I'm unsure whether or not to get him checked out. I've called poison control but the line is busy, clearly someone is in the same boat as me.
After I told my DS that he shouldnt swallow hand sanitizer, he claimed he thought it was water! At least he was thinking healthy.

AIBU by having him wear gloves instead of sanitizer?!

Well did he swing it out of the bottle or lick it off his hand? He'll most likely be fine

@AriettyHomily He drank the entire bottle thinking it was "mumm'ys mini waterbottle" bless his soul but he is a dafty.

Well it’s alcohol so he’ll likely be ok but depending on how big a bottle it is I’d possibly call 111.

It's 70% proof alcohol. If he really has drunk a whole mini bottle, and not just a taste, then take him straight to a&e.
(I can't believe he would have more than a mouthful though - I think it probably tastes disgusting)
