Weird face tingling near ears with strong flavours

Anyone else get a very comfortable tingling on their face where your jaw meets your ears.

Usually when anticipating eating and tasting strong flavours such as salt and vinegar crisps.

It's horrible and has been happening a lot today and I'm wondering why.

Does it have a name?

Oooh yes. I know what you mean but have no clue what it’s called, I assume it’s a salivary gland thing so did a quick google.

Ah yes that's it! I tried googling but couldn't find anything helpful.

Guess my salivary glands are just in overdrive today.

Yes! I get this when I eat extra-mature cheddar.
