What do you do when you can't access therapy?

Mostly my day-to-day life is fine, but every few months I get traumatic nightmares that are essentially memories of when I was abused. Then after the nightmares, for weeks I can't sleep properly and I feel numb.

I'm at the point now where I really want/need help, but with covid I can't see a therapist in person and I'm not comfortable with doing it over video/phone because I don't want the people I live with hearing anything.

You do your best to muddle through

A lot of therapists are seeing people face to face - and have been allowed to all the way through

Thanks

Try counselling director, BACP, Welldoing.org
