Anyone around? Moving to new area and so anxious

Not to mention, this is the first time I have moved anywhere that doesn't have any furniture, any white goods, no Wi-Fi, and I just came out of quarantine for two weeks on Sunday so I am just feeling very… Anxious and overwhelmed. Trying to order big pieces of furniture that don't come quickly is also a bit of a challenge… I'm just so many other things. I'm officially impaired, and the first day I walked to the place, I got lost… Then I tried to go into somebody else's house by accident… And on the same day I stepped in dog Pooh… And two days before I went there, there was a murder. So… I feel very overwhelmed right now.

By the way, if anyone knows of where to get a small fridge with a freezer that can be delivered quickly? And a very small washing machine that might have a dryer? I'm also looking for a twin bed and a small sofa… I had found a sofa I liked, but things went wrong… And then I'm finding out that it has an ottoman that's very very long. So it won't be good.

One more thing, if anybody knows of a service that can help put together furniture, or even just help in getting little things done these first couple of weeks… in North London by the way

Hi OP,

Sorry you're feeling anxious, it can be very overwhelming moving somewhere unfamiliar, especially when you need to furnish the place from scratch too. We have used AO.com previously for appliances (fridge, freezer, oven etc.) and they have generally been very good. They seem reasonably priced and do next day delivery so you wouldn't have long to wait. I'm not sure about furniture, when we bought ours it was a 13 week wait as the sofas were made to order. I'm sure I've seen places offering delivery in 7 days although I can't remember which shop offered this and you may have to compromise on style if they only do a small range with this availability. Hopefully other posters will be able to help.

Is there anything in particular making you feel anxious? Do you know anyone in the area who you can meet up with?

Argos, most things have same day or next day delivery. When I first moved I got a sofa, bed, bed side tables, coffee table etc all delivered the next day for £3.95.

I also tried to open someone else's front with my key for ages, don't worry OP. Things will get better x
