Or anything positive please!! I really need something to hold on to as I’m struggling a lot. Daughter is home with a cold, snotty nose and cough no temp.

Cannot get a test and I’m so worried. I need something to hold onto

What sort of thing are you thinking of, OP?

Hang on in there, it could just as easily, and is far more likely to be a cold, the result of going back to the germ farms - aka nurseries and schools - no reflection on the schools themselves, I make haste to add!

SomethingM1ss1ng · 10/09/2020 20:18

Thank you mbosnz probably but my anxiety is killing me

Of course it is. Right, pretty pink and blue thoughts.

I'm assuming you've tried the usual surfing for cute cats and dogs on social media?

I left my mobile on the tram. A policeman called the company and it had been handed in. I got it back as soon as I got the tram to hq.

BBC sounds has some excellent old comedy if you need a laugh.

CocoBryceDidAcidWithMe · 11/09/2020 00:46

Hi op, I hope you are doing well FlowersBear Look up David Sedaris videos, he is hilarious

DramaAlpaca · 11/09/2020 00:49

It's almost certainly just a common cold. DS(24) had exactly the same symptoms last week, his work made him get a test - result next day was negative. Hang in there OP, and try not to worry.

BasedInDublin · 11/09/2020 08:22

My DD struggled with a lot of issues as a teenager. She has just finished here 1st week of work in a job, and she actually likes it. It's a big step. Fingers crossed.

Autumn, the most beautiful season of the year is almost here!

Will check this out. I’m starting to realise that the ‘old’ comedies are really interesting and funny

Love the colours and scenery but the lack of sun/light dies affect me

nom that is lovely news

drama possibly, I certainly hope so. If I cannot get a test appointment I might buy one and send it off

DivaDroid · 11/09/2020 09:32

Oh OP, I was the same a couple of weeks ago when DS(12) got sent home with the same (we're in Scotland, so back a bit sooner).
My anxiety was off the charts - negative test of course. It's most likely a cold - as pp said, nurseries & schools are wee germ farms.
My gorgeous rescue greyhound got me through & I've shared a pic of him & his giant flamingo (& hope it makes you smile a bit).
Remember to look after yourself too - you can pour from an empty jug. DH & I have been watching the new All Creatures Great & Small - it's funny, heartwarming & best of all, cosy & comfortable.

SomethingM1ss1ng · 11/09/2020 10:36

Thank you Diva that did make me smile. Love how cosy he is with his giant flamingo

Yes I need to take care of myself...her snotty nose is clear this morning and only coughing once or so in an hour and it’s more of a single cough as supposed to a cluster if that makes sense!!

DivaDroid · 11/09/2020 10:38

@SomethingM1ss1ng that's great - a chilled Friday with movies/books/whatever & snuggles under a blanket might help you both.

Toilenstripes · 11/09/2020 10:41

Well, it’s almost autumn and that means All Things Cosy. Socks, jumpers, spiced cakes, pumpkin lattes, crunchy leaves, fires burning, cinnamon everything. 🍂🍁

SomethingM1ss1ng · 11/09/2020 10:55

Yes, I really want to get back to reading. That was my escape but because of all the noise in my head have struggled to focus in the recent days
