Just wondering if any of you or you relatives/friends are famous and if so what do you/they do?

My uncle (by marriage) is a physicist, he is by no means famous, but from time to time appears on TV on documentaries and once on Newsnight. Not famous but well known within his field and you might recognise him if you have a good memory for faces and a specific interest in physics.

My grandfather was a novelist, well known at the time and in his own country but not really in the UK and certainly not these days. His first wife was a concert violinist and remained relatively well known until her death. Both were given obituaries in the New York Times

I’m not famous but I had a one night stand (and still sometimes in contact with) someone famous. Well known wealthy family and he’s in finance/Glossy magazines type

nosswith · 10/09/2020 08:33

The founders?

doodlejump1980 · 10/09/2020 08:34

Me! I’m famous!

Fuckinellitsme · 10/09/2020 10:02

I had a few minutes of fame in the 90s.

I'm far prouder of my many times great uncle however - he was a very well known actor who counted Lord Byron among his fans (there are letters of Byron's in which he talks about seeing my ancestor on the stage). Yes it's hundreds of years ago, but how many people can say Byron was a fan of their (great great great) uncle?!

One of my colleagues is a part time actor. He was in the prison scenes of Muppets Most Wanted. As for me? Nah. Only amongst my friends Grin.
